Trans-Asia safety policy
- Trans-Asia is an ISO 9001:2000 accredited company, complying all ISO standards both in terms of QA/QC and HSE procedures.
- Trans-Asia HSE checklist for hydro Testing operation is as follows:
- A detailed check list will be prepared as per the standards and specifications. It will cover the testing operation from filling up to completion of operation.
- Good co-ordination will be ensured so as to avoid performing hydro-test at the same time as other operations. A work permit procedure/ Job hazard Analysis shall be used.
- The equipment shall be in good condition and adequately maintained and certified.
- Testing equipment shall be kept as far as possible from recording and pumping stations
- Testing equipment will undergo a trial checkup before commencement of operations.
- Test area will be properly barricaded .
- During the testing operation , all non essential personnel will be kept out of the testing area.
- The test crew will attend a tool box talk before starting of operations.
- All personnel will be in their proper PPE during testing operation.
- Inspection for any leaks shall be performed at least 15 mm after the test pressure has been reached and only by designated personnel.
- No tampering works or tightening work will take place while the line is under pressure or during pressure –up stages.
- Presence of mind is essential while operation is in progress.
- All the above mentioned activities will be effectively supervised by safety officer at site.
